From an early age, I had either a pad and pencil for sketching or a canvas and paint brush in hand. After taking classes in sign painting, sculpture and drafting, my first artistic job was to paint huge 6' x 10' window banners for a supermarket Super Center, where I was introduced to graphic design. I was immediately drawn to the challenge of speaking to others through printed words and images, which allowed me to combine my artistic and problem-solving sides. For over 25 years, I have continued to search for new and interesting ways to present my client's message in a way that will be most effective. My work has won numerous awards, but taking a little bit of information and developing it into something my client is happy with and I'm proud of—this is what makes me excited to start work each day. I love my job! |
